Tegalalang Rice Terrace

Tegalalang village is famous with rice terrace, but now on the way go to tegalalang village both side of the road you find lots of shops with selling woodcarving. The first example of Balinese landscape is the rice-field. This is a typical scene in Bali. The terraced rice-field is typical of the beauty of the Balinese countryside

Note the harmony of colors, the vivid green of the coconut groves & the pale blue of the sky. Wet rice agriculture (sawah) is the basic & most important activity of Balinese life; Rice is the major crop & the staple food.

In the work of the growth period of the rice, the fields are periodic flooded. The Subak or irrigation cooperatives, regulate the permit of water & maintenance of irrigation networks.

The water from single dam may be divided in to douses & even hundreds of channel to irrigate the terraced rice field, note how many-terraced field are served by this particular manual serves.


Luak Coffe Plantation

Bali Coffee Plantation is one of the new tourist attractions in Bali usually situated in the mountain  area. The local Balinese farmers are very creative to plant variety of coffees but two species coffees that mostly planted in this island includes Robusta and Arabica.

The farmers are stepping into a new idea to create their coffee plantation as a tourist attraction where you may visit it with some coffee for free testing.

The famous and the expensive coffee are fastest growth in this island is called by Luwak Coffee, coffee produced from the fermentation process that take civet coffee bean and then remove through the anus.


Batur Geopark Museum

The Global Geoparks Network (GGN), of which membership is obligatory for UNESCO Global Geoparks, is a legally constituted not-for-profit organisation with an annual membership fee.

The GGN founded in 2004 is a dynamic network where members are committed to work together, exchange ideas of best practise, and join in common projects to raise the quality standards of all products and practises of a UNESCO Global Geopark

While the GGN as a whole comes together every two years, it functions through the operation of regional networks, such as the European Geoparks Network that meets twice a year to develop and promote joint activities.

Now the GGN continues to expand, drawing in new expertise and knowledge from all parts of the world and different cultures. And it’s always developing models of best practice and setting high quality standards for territories that integrate the preservation of geological heritage into strategies for regional sustainable economic development.
