Trekking to the peak of the active volcano, Mt. Agung, Bali’s holiest and tallest mountain (3142 meters) takes four to five hours (eight – ten hours for the return journey). Mount Agung Sunrise Trekking, it is a somewhat difficult trek and requires a good level of fitness and some bravado, but is an extremely worthwhile and amazing spiritual experience.

Departing at 1 – 2 a.m. (head torches and wet weather gear supplied, if needed) after making an offering and prayer at the holy Pasar Agung temple, the highest in Bali, we begin the ascent of this impressive volcano to arrive in time to witness the most remarkable sunrise you will see in Bali and to enjoy the spectacular morning views of the neighboring islands of Lombok, Nusa Penida and the whole south and east of Bali.

Trekking first through jungle (where you can see wildlife on the return journey) we pass the tree line and trek up the lava flows of the 1963 eruption enjoying the spectacular night views of Bali (the lights are amazing).

After sunrise and making an offering and prayer on the summit of this holy mountain we enjoy a well deserved breakfast before beginning our descent.

ITINERARY:

• 21.00 to 22:00: pick up at your hotel, pick up time depends by distance of Besakih start point to your hotel.
• 23:00: Arrive at start point Besakih, here we will present to your coffee break.
• 23:15: The trek to the peak of mount Agung is beginning,
• 6:00: Arrive at the top of mt Agung, here we can see the spectacular scenery and captivating sunrise. During enjoy the beauty view, we will served breakfast : hot drink, sandwich, and some fresh fruits.
• 7:30: Go down and go back to the start point,
• 12:00: Arrive at the starting point,
• 13:00: Back to your hotel.
